Hello! I’m the Governance Research Lead at Base (part of the Business Operations team at Coinbase). I research, design, and build decentralized governance systems for online platforms.
In general, my work focuses on mechanism design, incentives & online behavior, collective decision-making, experimental design, and all things platform governance.
Previously, I was the Research and Experiments Lead at Optimism, and before that, I worked on the a16z crypto research team focused on decentralized web3 governance.
I hold a PhD in political science from Yale, where I also received a Master’s in statistics. My dissertation, advised by Alan Gerber, Ken Scheve, and Scott Kominers, was titled “Institutions for Online Governance: Field Experimental Studies of Participation, Incentives, and Deliberation.”
